Batik Rainbow Pillow
The smallest of batik scraps were sewn together to create this bright rainbow in shades of orange, green and blue. The white background fabric has subtle white pineapples and all of the colors in the rainbow can be found along the binding. Another rainbow was even quilted on the back.
24” x 15”
100% cotton fabric, thread and batting. Polyfil inside pillow.
Machine quilted and hand stitched binding.
Spot clean recommended.
This pillow is part of a project I started to reduce waste in my studio. All of the fabrics used for the rainbow are trimmings from other projects. All “scraps” larger than 1” are saved to be used again, the rest are placed in my compost.
